Description

The EHESS Center for Indian and South Asian Studies Library is located at the Maison de l'Asie. The Maison de l'Asie library brings together the holdings of several EHESS and EPHE research centers and the EFEO-French School of Asian Studies central library. The Center for Indian and South Asian Studies collection includes:

  • 30,000 volumes
  • 3,000 offprints
  • 270 maps
  • 445 periodical titles (54 current publications)
  • Periodicals kept in the CEIAS research office.

Access terms

Free access on presentation of a valid ID and photo.
To register as a user, see the Maison de l'Asie Library central information desk.
Requests for documents from the stacks must be made before 5:00 pm. 

Lending terms

Loans possible: a letter of recommendation from a member of the center and valid ID is required.
