The Library, housed in the Maison Asie-Pacifique, covers Oceania's major cultural zones: Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia and Australia. The collection comprises works in social and cultural anthropology, archeology, history, linguistics, sociology, political science, environmental science, and human geography.
Holdings currently number 10,000 references: books, periodicals, dissertations, PhD theses and ethnographic films.
The collection acquires some 300 new references annually.
The library is open to the public for onsite consultation.
Loans are reserved exclusively for Maison Asie-Pacifique researchers and PhD fellows and for Bachelor's graduates and Master's students whose research supervisor is a member of the MAP faculty.
